Who We Are
Natalie Le Roux
Natalie founded Coastline Crew after completing five years in the industry, Natalie started off as a junior stewardess on a 72m yacht in the Mediterranean. She continued to develop her career in the industry and finished her career on the yachts as a Chief Stewardess. During her time on the yachts, Natalie gained extensive knowledge of the industry and has made connections that will last a lifetime.
Natalie will be able to help you to find fantastic people to crew your yacht and help those looking to get into the industry along your way as well as develop your career.
‘‘ When I first joined the yachts in 2018 I had £30, which I exchanged this to euros which I think equaled around €33 at the time. I had a plane ticket to Nice and my STCW and ENG1 in hand ready to embark on an adventure of a lifetime. I stayed with a friend in Antibes whilst I applied for day work and went to local bars to network, I worked on a boat in Nice for two days to gain that all important first experience. I remember walking on the passerelle and just thinking ‘pinch me’ - it was amazing. I then got offered day work on a yacht that was at anchor in Antibes, this boat later became to be my first permanent position. I was asked to cover laundry duties for a few days whilst the current stewardesses were on a silver service course; by the end of day 2 the Chief Stewardess asked me if I wanted to stay for the season and of course without hesitation I said YES. The crew on this boat became great friends of mine and I still speak to them today, On the yachts you will make life long friendships and you definitely won’t look back.’’
Courtney Veale
Courtney co-founded coastline crew and joined Natalie toward the end of 2023, she has years of experience in the industry in both areas of being a stewardess and a deckhand, developing her career in both of these roles. Courtney has valuable insights and knowledge in both departments which is essential for hiring crew in different areas.
